well, i have. and it sucked.
lets not get ahead of ourselves, all in all it was a relaxing and slightly awesome trip to the hawkesbury river, first fishing experience was a success, cousins were jealous of my 40cm flathead, they thought it was delicious, can't say i ate it - the whole "you just came out of that river" sort of freaked me out.
plus i named him nemo and whatnot, haha.
whilst the others ate the flatty, i decided to take a walk down to the wharf and breathe in the crisp air of the riverside. surprisingly, i enjoyed being at one with nature. it was an amazing view, the water still and pristine, mist intertwining through the mountainside.
don't get me wrong though, this city girl could never live like that, and three days was more than enough to take a break from the hectic life of a senior student and just chill. (though i do admit, i brought along study notes in case i had down time - never mind though, they went untouched.)
had a turn driving the speed boat, must admit i did an illegal burn out in the water, then had to outrun the coast officers - don't think they noticed, though, i was driving it 20km/h.
a girl in brunette platts and ruby slippers once said "there is no place like home" well, after seeing that sign "Sydney", and laying in my own bed again, i'd have to say
Dorothy, you had it right,
there is no place like home, and this city girl is glad to be home.
